Mega magazine’s annual Beauty Awards issue is one of the most awaited publications every year. It features the annual Beauty Awards which include their editors’ top picks for beauty products in different categories. It’s always sold out by the time I try to buy one from the newstands or bookstores.

But this year, I got my own copy of Mega because two of our Leyende products were given recognition in this issue!

Happening only twice a year, this celebrated bazaar brings together the best selection of high-quality specialty products and wares not usually seen in malls.

Get into the recycling spirit: donate your old colorful glossy magazines to Leyende. We’ll reuse it as part of our holiday packaging (stocking stuffers, confetti, etc.).

There is something you can do for the environment right here, right now without much effort and time: SHOWER.

But not just any ol’ shower. Aim to keep your showers under 3 minutes, and you’ll contribute greatly to water and environmental conservation.

Studies show the average shower takes about seven minutes and consumes 35 liters of water. Imagine that for every shower you’ll have to use 35 Coca-Cola liter bottles. Multiply that by the number of people in your home and the number of times each person showers a day, and you’ll run out of room within the week — you get the picture.

A thorough shower doesn’t have to take long, even with shampoo and conditioner (like our no-fuss hair care and bath products). Our skin is more efficient and resilient than we give it credit for. It doesn’t require the kind of scrubbing and washing that dirty laundry does. A quick shower will normally do the trick.

For cultures accustomed to showering more than once a day, aside from keeping it short and sweet, it’s safer for the skin and environment not to use soap and shampoo anymore on the second shower. Water will do just fine to wash off dirt as well as prevent overdrying of skin and hair.

One tip to avoid overstaying in the shower: DON’T SING.
