2010 motto: we are what we do

Sunday, 3 January, 2010

Why not kick-start 2010 by taking matters into our own hands? Stop worrying, stop complaining and start DOING.

A good place to start: We Are What We Do — “a global movement that believes it’s not just politicians, institutions and big businesses that can change the world - ordinary people can do it too.” The movement hinges on the idea that collective small actions of many people across the world can equal to big, positive changes to our physical, social and political environment.

Going through this site gave us important information about the impact of our everyday personal habits, and inspired us to make small, easy changes. Things like setting our toilet’s flusher to use minimal amount of water, unplugging appliances when not is use (not just turning them off) and not singing in the shower (click here to find out why).

Start making your own change in 2010.

Christmas Poem, 1990
by Kathleen Raine (1908-2003)

Dear friends, whose letters alight like birds in my mornings,
Had we been together in some happy remembered place
We would have lived and told
The stories and the news, the long deep conversations
In rooms and gardens where we might have been
With an old friend too long unseen,
Or one too briefly known.
Many, many the unsaid words, the unparticipated joys,
The unexpressed affection, unshared laughter, and yet
In the unrecorded to and fro of thought
Are we not often together, the unspoken
Traveling between us in the invisible ways?
The words we write only the signature
Of boundless life, that makes us one
With those we know and love, and the unloved unknown.

MOONLIT BAZAAR

Dec 11 to Dec 13 (Fri to Sun)

Rockwell Tent * 12:00pm to 12:00mn

(beside Mich Dulce’s booth)

This is the very last bazaar we have for the year, and it’s going to be great! Lots of sale items in gift packaging that won’t be available on-line or with our retail partners. It’s our incentive for those who make the effort to meet us and support our bazaar efforts.

Let’s Be Honest…

Thursday, 5 November, 2009

For those who know real quality, there’s no question that Leyende is something special.

What makes us different?

We do the right thing by using truly certified organic ingredients from licensed international farmers and producers.

We go through a passionately handmade, fossil fuel-free production process
so that each product is a result of our commitment to a cleaner, safer environment.

We invest in real people, not slick ads. We empower hardworking women from disadvantaged backgrounds through training and livelihood programs.

We do it right or not at all.

Because when it comes down to it, we value integrity. Our customers are lifetime users who are happy and healthy — not sales statistics who merely “try” organic products.

If you’re looking for true quality, we believe you deserve the real deal. Don’t you?
